Here’s my story
If you’re unsure whether Oh Deer! is the right next step – I get it. I’ve been in your shoes.
When I got my first dog, I had no idea what a prey drive even was.
I just wanted to enjoy our walks, spend time together, and explore the world side by side.
But her strong hunting instincts quickly turned everything upside down.
Suddenly, I was dealing with lunging, chasing, stress – and a feeling of failure I hadn’t expected. Nothing seemed to help.
I came across all kinds of advice: punishment, shouting, even e-collars. But none of that felt right. It didn’t sit well with me – and it didn’t help my dog.
So I started to search for gentler answers.
That journey led me to become a dog trainer – and eventually to develop Predation Substitute Training (PST), a kind and effective way to guide dogs with strong instincts.
Today, I share what I’ve learned – so you don’t have to go through it alone.
If this resonates with you, Oh Deer! might be the support you’ve been looking for.
